A Boy and His Dog
I’m not sure who is more excited when Ben gets home from work or up in the morning. The excitement is so high! Copper loves his people. And the people love their puppy!

School projects
For Myra’s art project last week she had to draw a person, but cut out the clothes portion. They then had to take pictures of the person on different backgrounds to “create” outfits for it. MJ has so much fun doing this... well after she finally drew the picture 😂
MJ has to record herself doing different exercises for PE

Easter Sunday
We had a wonderful Easter today. Josh jr was able to come spend day with us. We had a great family study, followed by sacrament and a Sunday school lesson. We also had an Easter egg hunt as well 🐣
Here is a scripture from our study this week.
2 Nephi 9:10-11
10 O how great the goodness of our God, who prepareth a way for our escape from the grasp of this awful monster; yea, that monster, death and hell, which I call the death of the body, and also the death of the spirit.
11 And because of the way of deliverance of our God, the Holy One of Israel, this death, of which I have spoken, which is the temporal, shall deliver up its dead; which death is the grave.

Games with Spencey and MJ
Josh and I played games with Spencey and MJ this afternoon. One of the cards that you draw for the game said you get a second turn if you have a mustache... so Spencer found himself a mustache so he could have a second turn (he ended up winning the game 😂).

Exercising
Growing up I never established a good routine for working out. In fact because of health issues throughout my childhood and teenage life working out was difficult and usually caused counterproductive results. I have tried over my years as an adult to establish better workout routines. I haven’t always been successful. In the fall of 2017 I had a cancer scare. When I found out I did not have cancer (after a couple months of worry and further tests) I decided I was tired of being scared and not “living” my full life. I went out side my comfort zone and talked with a friend who goes to gyms a lot and set up to go with her. This was a first for me. I had not worked out in a gym in front of people since my weights class in college. But since that first time going to the gym with my friend in early November 2017, I have become a regular at the gym. I switched which location I go to after Spencer started school. I miss seeing the friends that all went to that location, but where I go now is a lot less busy and the people are very friendly. And I have found that if I work at least 3 times a week I feel much healthy, happier, and physically better. I even found a way to get my works outs in this last fall while doing daycare (thanks Josh). Now with all the COVID 19 stuff going on we can’t go to gyms. I haven’t been able to “work out” in a few weeks. I’ve tried modifying things and doing different workouts based out of our home. But it’s just not the same (funny, but not the same). Over this last week we were able to pick up a treadmill, a rowing machine, and an elliptical to use at our home. We are transforming our garage into a gym. And I am excited! I’m excited to work out again!

Groundies
What do you do when the parks are closed but the kids want to play groundies? You modify the rules so you can play in your backyard. I love my backyard, but I have grown to appreciate it so much over the last couple weeks. It has literally saved the sanity of my older kids. It gives Spence and MJ a place to get their energy out. Groundies in the backyard worked out pretty good. We will definitely have to try it again.
