Scentsy!

Scentsy
I sell Scentsy...  If you haven't heard of it you are missing out.  Scentsy are wickless candles that smell great.  I have been selling them for almost three years...

I put in two orders two weeks ago and they both showed up this last Tuesday.  So I spent a good part of today organizing all the stuff and putting all the orders together so I could give it to the host to give out...

Then I found out that one of the hosts plans to take EVERYTHING out of the bags to look at.  Everything!  Not just hers, but every ones...  So why did I spend HOURS putting it into the bags???

What's For Dinner???

That is a common question in my, and I'm sure millions, of homes.  My favorite answer is... I don't know, what you making???  My kids don't really like that answer, although Josh Jr. will often volunteer to cook dinner... And Josh (Sr.) does often cook dinner.  I posted last month about how I don't like to cook dinner... It's getting a little better...  I also posted that I wanted to come up with new meals and make a menu...  And I have!!!

Dinner... what they didn't eat!
This week started the week of "new" (or forgotten) meals...  But Monday Josh grilled (not on the menu, but REALLY yummy)...  Tuesday night I needed ground Hamburger for the meal, and didn't have any, so we had a box meal (tuna helper... Kids all say they hate it, but they always eat it really good???)...  Wednesday evening I had just put water on to boil to start dinner and my mom called and asked if we wanted to come over for dinner (me not cooking??? Of course we'd love to come!!!)...  And now we hit Thursday evening...  And I make a "new" dish (we actually had it a couple of weeks ago after I made the menu, and I thought it was good)...

Catalina's dinner show!
Chicken Parmesan Risotto!  That's what's for dinner!  Most of my kids ate it good and even said they liked it...  But I had a couple kids hold out on eating...  I'm not even sure Catalina even took a bite...  And when we threatened no snack her answer was "I don't want snack".  So we decided that Catalina and Savannah should sit at the table until they finished...

We did not win :(
Savannah trying to smile

Sleep won as far as Cat goes...

And Savannah sat "all alone" for a very long time...

Josh was nice and gave her a piece of bread after two hours...

A very happy Savannah
and her bread
I LOVE cooking dinner!

Hats...

Myra July 17th, 2010
Catalina was actually not too big of a tornado today, and that leaves me having to come up with something to blog all on my own...  And since it is late and I am tired, I will just post a picture or two.

Myra wearing a baby doll hat
Cat brought me this hat for Myra to wear (this was back on July 17th... so Myra was a month old).   I didn't think it would fit, because the hat goes to one of the girls baby dolls...  But it did fit.

Yesterday was so much fun, Let's try it again!!!

What's missing in this picture?

Yesterday I showed pictures of Catalina's mischievous day...  I guess she thought it was a lot of fun...  Because today was round two!!!  So I thought I might share again all of Cat's adventures...  Unfortunately I wasn't able to get pictures of ALL her adventures, but many of them.  It's been one of those days.

Can you tell???
It started with me finding money...  A lot of loose change.  At first I thought Cat had gotten into Josh Jr. bank...  Then Cat said something about "Daddy said I could have it".  That's when Savannah explained that Cat had played in Daddy's car yesterday and was pretending to drive, and she took all his money from the car...  That would explain the car rolling out of the garage last night... And me having to jump in it to stop it from going in to the street (SOOOOO glad my driveway at our new house is flat and not steep like our last house, there is NO way I would have been able to stop it if it had been at our old house).

Did you find it???
Let's see what else happened today... Caught her climbing out of her car seat to turn on the light in the back of the car while I was going 45 mph...  She was able to turn the light BACK on (that's right, she had already turned it on once before today)...

She climbed on top of the car part of a car cart at the grocery store while I was trying to pay at the check out...  This was after she ran away from me and tried to hide behind some boxes on an aisle...

*SIGH*  At least it wasn't TOO much!
On to the picture portion of the day...

Cat decided that it was time for her first hair cut...
Lucky for us she used dull scissors and I caught her  fast...

I didn't do anything!

I asked Cat to bring me a diaper so I could change Myra...
OK you caught me...
She asked if I wanted the powder too...
Silly me, I thought she would bring the container with it...

At least she folded them today...
Apparently Cat has a REALLY runny nose...

I was not so smart...
That would be powder
I left the powder in the same room with Cat while I went to the bathroom...
More powder
Let's just say that MY feet don't stink tonight...

Couch smells good too!
What???  It wasn't me!!!

Cat sees all the pictures I have taken, and wanted to add some of her own...
How tall is Catalina?
This is just a few of THE MANY (18 today, but LOTS of others on many different days... you'd think I'd learn to hide the camera) pictures from Cat...

Cat's view on life

*sigh*
Oh and Catalina changed her clothes at least three times...  When she had clothes on... I am beginning to think we might have a nudist on our hands...
I know I'm cute!!!

I hope that yesterday and today are not going to become the norm for Cat.  I could really use a break from the little tornado

How much trouble can one kid get into in a day???

Cat at Balloons

I had planned on writing about one of many different ideas I have... But today a certain mischievous child of mine thought she'd keep me on my toes... And even though she is a human tornado... She is so darn cute!  And funny!  So tonight I will write about Catalina once again...

Who Me?
The day started early... REAL early (we got up before 5am to go see balloons Not go up).  So maybe that had something to do with Cat's attitude today...  That or ALL the donuts she ate.  Now don't get me wrong... Cat wasn't throwing fits or anything like that (her sister's were).  Cat was in a really good mood...  Maybe a slap happy mood... but definitely a mischievous mood.

So in no particular order (OK maybe a little order), Catalina's Day!!!

Getting into her sister's purse
Notice no pants...
Not a pants kind of day

Small present for Mom!

This one is Dad's present :)
That would be nail polish
Probably found it in her sister's purse!
Can you guess where she put it?
Just in case you need to blow your nose
So Cute!
And Innocent!
And Sweet smelling!
Catalina told me she got in the
powder because her feet were stinky!
They did not stink after that!

Trying to Make Memories!

Balloon Glow 2010

Josh Jr.
Blogging all the time has help point out something to me (not that I didn't already know, but it just reaffirmed it).  Time goes by WAY (!!!!!) too fast.  Just for an example... we have owned our new home for over 6 months now! Really!  6 months now!  And my sweet little baby is already 2 and 1/2 months old.  Our "new" van we just got... 18 months ago.  Brooklyn is 7! See what I mean... time goes WAY too fast!

Ben and Dad
With time going Way too fast, I have realized that you have to make memories now!  Before its too late.  Josh Jr. is almost 11.  He is going to hit the stage where it's not so cool to be with the family sooner than I'd like.  So memories we'll make.

Brooklyn
Yesterday I tried to make some memories...  Brooklyn and I met Josh for lunch.  Just Brooklyn... No other kids.  I thought Brooklyn might enjoy lunch out with Josh and me all by herself.  I think she loved it... but we didn't get ice cream... and she thought that I was going to take her to get her nails done (she has Never gotten her nails done before at a "store"), so she was a little sad.
Savannah

Last night we went to Memorial park to watch the Balloon glow.  Still trying to make memories...  We have only done the balloon glow once before.  Three years ago... and it was too windy to actually do the balloon glow.  They did light up their baskets but there was no balloons.  But it was still cool to see.  And we thought that it would be fun to do again sometime... but we haven't gone back... until last night.

Catalina
I started thinking yesterday afternoon that it might be a good night to go to the balloon glow.  But life happens, and it wasn't really thought out or planned.  At the last minute we decided to go...  And off we went.

We got down town before the time the glow was suppose to start... along with everybody else.  It was packed!!!  I think more people were at the balloon glow than the morning event when the balloons actually go up.  And it was dark!  So we quickly found a place to park our family...
Myra

Maybe it is just us, but I always try not to be in the way of others... There are a lot of people out there that don't really care.  I was amazed at how many different people would just stop right in front of us and STAND there watching the balloon glow.  Really!  There is eight of us... Could you not see us?
Rude people's butts

It was a great night (weather wise), you didn't even need a jacket!  And the balloons were able to go up and be lit.  And it was beautiful.  I would love to go again.  But next time I will plan a little better.  And we will go a lot earlier.  So that we can find a place to sit while there is still light.  And somewhere with out a sign that say "Stop here... Take a picture... Stand right in front of these people, they weren't looking at anything!"
Balloon Glow

My little girls kept asking when the balloons were going to go up.  I told them Monday morning :)  So I'm planning now.  We are going to watch the balloons Monday morning.  All who would like to join us may.  We will be leaving early so that we can get to the park by 6:00- 6:15am.  I'd offer for you to ride with us... but our car is full :)
Hopefully we'll be able to make some more memories.  Hopefully they will be happy (you never know at that time of morning).  But I'd like to think that my kids will look back on these days when they are older and only remember the good, not the bad that comes with making memories.  Because no matter how hard you try, and how much you plan... not everything will go the way you hoped.  But I will never stop "Trying to Make Memories"!

Brooklyn Rose Case!

Brooklyn's 7th Birthday
9-3-10
Brooklyn on her blessing day
9-28-03

Today is Brooklyn's 7th Birthday!  It's hard to believe that it has been 7 years already.  I thought I would tell Brooklyn's story today to celebrate her birthday.

Brooklyn's first Christmas
12-25-03
I wish I could tell you the day I found out I was pregnant with her, but sadly that is one thing I have forgot.  It had to be in January I think, but maybe I waited until February.  I do remember that the night we found out we had friends over.  We had Tony and Mindy, and Bill and Joi over for dinner and games.  Joi  had just found out she was pregnant and was due the end of August.  Mindy and I both were wondering if we too might be pregnant.  So Joi, Mindy and I loaded up and went to Target to buy a couple of home pregnancy test.  We went back to our house and took the tests and sure enough we both were pregnant.

Brooklyn on her 4th  Birthday
9-3-07
When Josh found out we were going to have our third child he joked that if it was another boy we should name him Joshua the III (he pointed out how George Foreman named all his kids George).  I joked and told him only if he shared a birthday with Josh...  Then we found out that I was due the 12th of September... Five days before Josh's Birthday...  I was a little worried that Josh would hold me to it.

Brooklyn on her 5th Birthday
9-3-08
I'd have to say my pregnancy with Brooklyn was probably my easiest.  Morning sickness was bad for the first three months, but then it settled down and I was able to feel good most days.  It was very uneventful... mostly!  We did an ultra sound around 20 weeks to make sure all was good and to find out the sex of our baby.  We could not find out.  Brooklyn did not cooperate!  I was OK with it... and even decided not to find out latter when we had another ultra sound (mostly because it really bugged my now ex-sister-in-law).

Brooklyn on her 6th Birthday
9-3-09
September 2nd came around and I had another Dr.s appointment with another non-stress test.  I ended up having several at the end of the pregnancy, and they thought my amniotic fluid was low.  So we also had several ultra sounds.  And on the 2nd of September they decided to induce (because they thought my water was low again).

Josh and I went to Memorial Hospital (Central- it wasn't Central then, because there wasn't a north) at some early hour in the morning... I'm guessing 6ish, on Wednesday the 3rd of September.  We got all checked in and waited for the Dr to come.  Dr. B (Bianco) came some time after 7am and broke my water and started me on piton.

Labor was... labor.  It went rather fast (not as fast as some), and Brooklyn Rose Case came into the world at 12:27pm.  Dr. B was there to deliver her and Grandma Penny was there to support us in this new adventure.  And NO one told me I had a girl!!!  It wasn't until they gave her to me that I found out that we had finally gotten a girl!

Me and Brooklyn
Brooklyn came in at 20 inches long and weighed 6lbs. 12oz.  She had more hair than either of her brothers (and the most to this day for any of our babies).  She had blue eyes (they are no longer blue) and LONG finger nails...  I had to cut them while at the hospital.  She also had some scratches on her face from them.

Brooklyn is beautiful!  So beautiful.  We were so happy to get our sweet little girl!  Happy Birthday Brooklyn!!!

Just in case you missed it...  Brooklyn is our '3rd' child.  She was born on '9-3-03', at '12:27pm'. She weighed in at '6lbs 12oz'.  All numbers are divisible by three... she is our three :)

Brooklyn!
Joi had her son on September 5th, and Mindy had her daughter on September 30th.  It was fun to have us all pregnant together :)
