Winter Percussion

Brooklyn is doing Winter percussion this year. She spends several evenings a week at practices.  They had a mandatory fund raiser last night. Josh went to her fund raiser while I went to a meeting with Savannah at the church. Our meeting finished early enough that we were able to make it to the school to see Brooklyn’s performance. They did so good. It was a fun show!

Thoughts

Today in family study we studied 2 Nephi 31- 33.
In 2 Nephi 33:15 we read
15 For what I seal on earth, shall be brought against you at the judgment bar; for thus hath the Lord commanded me, and I must obey. Amen.

The end of the verse really sticks out to me. “For thus hath the Lord commanded me, and I must obey.”  Sometimes the things we are asked to go through or do are hard. Sometimes I don’t want to do the things I’ve been called to do. But when the Lord commands us to do something he will provide the way, the strength, the power to do hard things. I always loved the poem Footprints in the Sand. Whenever I am going through a hard time I like to think that our Heavenly Father is there helping me through it.

Snow dog

This silly doggy LOVES snow! He loves to bury his face in the snow as well as roll all over through it. He often will stay out until he is a frozen pupcicle. He comes in with snow on his face and legs covered in snow balls.

Talented Brooklyn

Brooklyn and her friend Faith made it into Vista Ridge’s talent show. They did so good! I’m so proud of her for not only trying out for the talent show, but for doing so well up on stage in front of so many people. They sang Lay Me Down by Sam Smith. They did so good. So proud of Brooklyn and Faith!

Sweet Myra

I came across this box on my counter the other day. Turns out it’s Myra’s. When I asked her where she got it she said she bought it from her friend. Her friend is a Girl Scout and was selling cookies and Myra wanted to help her so she spent her own money to buy a box. Such a sweet girl.
