Walking!

My baby decided this evening that she was done walking holding on to things...  She has taken a step here or there. The first one being on the 22nd of April...  But this evening she decided to walk across the room...  Not the WHOLE room, but 6 or 7 steps...  Later she walked several step, then turned and walked several step the other direction...  I can't believe how fast my baby is growing up!

Why do they do what they do???

Josh and I are night owls (it's 11:10 pm and we just put on another episode of That Seventy Show)...  But night owls do not tend to be early risers...  And you would think that because we are both night owls, that our kids would be too...  And they probably are or would be if we let them...  But we don't :)  And since we don't they tend to get up early...  Especially when the sun comes up early...  So having all 6 kids still a sleep past 7:30 is pretty much a miracle...
 turn over and go back

That was the case today...  I woke up at 7:45, and all of my kids were still a sleep...  I would have LOVED to turn over and go back to sleep...  But sadly I had to get up...  And even worse, I had to wake up ALL 6 kids so we could go and work at the pool...  It's just not fair!

Maybe I will be lucky, and they will all sleep past 8 tomorrow :)

I finally did it!

I am a little bummed that I had made it this far into the year with blogging every day, only to miss a day because Blogger.com was down :(  I even had my blog by the middle of the afternoon.  Oh well, not much I can do about it now.  I will just have to blog twice today to make up for it.  So here is yesterday's blog...

I finally did it!  And no it's not quit the pool board (all though after a day like yesterday I have REALLY thought about it)!  Almost two months ago I blogged about trying to give food to a homeless person here...  Well yesterday I finally did it!  Since my earlier experience I have kept that bag of food in the car (I have changed out the bread several times though).  And I have looked for someone to give it too.  At first I didn't find anyone, then it seemed that I was always by myself and the food was in the back of the car so I couldn't get it while driving...

Yesterday as I was leaving King Soopers there was an older man standing on the corner that I was going to drive by...  And I thought to my self "Crap the food is all the way in the back!"  But then I remembered that I need to get my medicine from the drive through...  I took the opportunity of stopping to grab the food from the back of the car...  And as I came back to the corner that the man was standing on I rolled down the window and gave him the food.  He blessed me and thanked me.  Happy to have something.

It was a great feeling!

Family Time

Josh had to go to a work thing tonight, so I thought I would watch Tangled with the kids since I hadn't seen it yet.  It was really cute.  However all of the kids had seen it before... several times... enough times that they could (and did) recite the movie with it.  Some of the kids had to be reminded a COUPLE times to not say all the lines...

As the movie ended Catalina decided that we needed to watch it again, because I had neglected to make the banana bread that I had said I was going to make...

TV

I don't remember the exact date, but I know it is coming up on a year, if it hasn't already passed it.  That would be a year with out cable or satellite TV.  We gave it up to save a little money...  In return we signed up for Netflix.

For just $10 a month we can any disk out for as long as we want, but one at a time.  We also get instant Netflix, that we can watch on the computer or on the TV through the WII.  We have watched so many different shows through instant Netflix.  Some shows we have had to switch to the disk as we would get to more current seasons.

Tonight as I am blogging I am watching another Netflix movie...  This one is on disk.  So I am sitting in my nice soft recliner (thanks Jaimee and Danial) blogging on a laptop.  I had to do it this way, or I would never get to the movie...  Every Tuesday as Josh leaves for basketball I think...  "I will just blog quickly and then watch the movie".  But that has not happened, and that is why we have had this disk now for over two months.

I think it's time to return this one to Netflix and get a new movie:)

My "Baby's" hair!

I blogged yesterday that I got to "play" with my baby dolls and do their hair...  Unfortunately we only took pictures of Brooklyn's hair.  Brooklyn and Savannah both had their hair braided, though Savannah did not have it in a crown, just two braids (not sure she would sit still for this one yet).
I finally talked Catalina into letting me do SOME thing with her hair, and gave her just one ball...  And well Myra really doesn't have hair, but the little she has was a curled Mohawk.  But all four of my girls had flowers in their hair... Until Myra riped hers off!  I tried to replace it later, but she broke it :(  So I will have to fix it...  Her are the pictures of Brooklyn's hair, Enjoy!

I said I want steak! Not cake!

It has been a fantastic day today!  I got to sleep in this morning (so nice!).  Josh had left me flowers (so beautiful!).  Josh brought the kids in with gifts, cards, and breakfast (so good!).  It was wonderful.  Josh bathed the little girls and Myra (so sweet!).  And then I got to "play" with my dolls (as josh said).  I did the girls hair.  And for some reason I decided to do a fun braid in Brooklyn's hair (pictures to come).  After fantastic Cinnamon and sugar pancakes (really good!) we were able to go to church and hear great talks.  Josh finished the day by waiting on me hand and foot.  He grilled fabulous steak... for me and him, and hot dogs for the kids...  As we were getting the food on the table Catalina was quite adamant that she wanted steak...  And I guess she thought I didn't understand what she was saying, so she clarified saying... "I want STEAK, not CAKE.  STEAK."  It was a great day (even if the team we wanted to win Amazing Race did not win).  Thank you Josh was such a great day. Thank you kids for being mine :) I love you!!!
