Life

I went to a funeral yesterday for  a man that was one of my teachers at church back when I was a teenager. I went to school with his oldest two kids. His wife was also one of my teachers during my teenage years. It was a beautiful funeral. But it got me thinking about life. His daughter shared a statement that this man lived his life by...

“If you can’t be of service, what good are you?”

I had to write it down because I found it impactful. What a great way to live your life. I know that as I serve others I find peace and happiness, joy and love, and forgiveness. Serving others makes me happy. I hope it makes those I serve happy too, at least a little.
