Is it really worth the risk???

Josh and I do not have cable, or Dish, or Direct TV.  We have Netflix on demand (which we love), and we catch current shows on the network after they are released (which is getting harder and harder).  Netflix does not play commercials during their shows, but the networks do...  Last night while watching a show on CBS a commercial played for a new drug to treat Psoriasis.  The commercial for the drug is a little concerning to me...

To start  with, this "new" drug only has a 70%  rate for actually working... But then you throw in the possible side affects and I start to wonder WHY!  Why would you even try this medication.  We are not talking about some horrific life threatening illness.  Psoriasis.  Now I get that I don't really understand all the complication to having Psoriasis, but really?  I still think the risks are not worth it.  Here are a couple of the possible side effects/complications you could have from taking this medication (besides the normal upset stomach and diarrhea)...

Infection ~ an infection that could be SO bad that you would have to be hospitalized
Tuberculosis
Nervous system problems
Blood problems~ A fever that does not go away, bleeding easily
Heart Failure
Liver problems
Immune reactions including lupus-like syndrome
CANCER

Really!  It could cause cancer!  And best of all...  It also list as a possible side effect of this medication...  It can cause psoriasis or make your psoriasis  actually get worse!!!???  I just don't understand!  HOW? WHY? WHAT?  REALLY???  Why would someone even think of taking this medication?  And how in the world did it ever get approved???
